This was such a fun event and one we’ll definitely be making a tradition. Instead of our usual division-by-division or team-by-team practice, we mixed things up: U11s practiced with U13s, U13s with U15s, and everyone’s favorite, the U9s with U18s. The idea was for those with experience to share it with others.
Everyone practiced hard and had a lot of fun. It was amazing to see how well the U18s worked with the U9s. Watching our aptly named Guardians look after the U9s and start them out in their ball hockey careers was super special.
Spring is such an exciting season, and it’s always great to see friends returning after playing hockey over the winter.
We had over 50 kids at this event. The last 45 minutes were spent with the U15s and U18s mixing together for a scrimmage. We’re so proud of how hard all the kids worked and played together. This is going to be an amazing new season!
