Who can join Edmonton AllStars Hockey Club?

AllStars Hockey Club welcomes children 3+, genders, and skill levels. We believe inclusivity and aim to leave no kid behind.

Do I have to be a current AllStar player to register?

Absolutely not, we welcome everyone to join. We welcome all children 3+, all skill levels and genders.

How do I pay my fees?

You may pay all fees through EMT to ballhockey@allstarshc.ca

Do I register through BHE1?

Please do not register as an individual player through BHE1 if you are registered through Edmonton AllStar HC. We will be completing team registrations once the rosters are finalized and making one payment to BHE1 for the team.

Can we skip a season(s) and come back to play for Edmonton AllStars later?

Absolutely, we understand the need to skip seasons. You are welcome to come back and register when you want to re-join.

Can we accommodate friend requests?

We will take friend requests and try our best to honour them. Any concerns would be dealt with by Edmonton AllStars HC and the affected participants. Friend requests can be emailed into ballhockey@allstarshc.ca.

What is your cancellation policy?

The registration fee can be refunded up to 7 days after the team rosters have been announced. All cancellations can be emailed to ballhockey@allstarshc.ca.

Do I need to pay for a new jersey?

In Spring 2025 we updated our jerseys. Only if you need a new jersey (new player, size, etc.) are you required to pay for a jersey.

When will we know the rosters?

The team rosters will be available prior to the season and we do our best to get them out as early as possible.

When will the schedule be available?

Once BHE1 has the schedules completed and posted on their website they will be uploaded to our communication app.

Am I able to volunteer?

Absolutely, we love volunteers! We are always looking for more help, team managers, assistant coaches and coaches in training.  Have kids on U15 or U18 looking at becoming a coach in the future? Please sign them up to help out on the bench for a younger team, its great learning experience and so much fun!

What equipment will my child need?

Runners will need basic ball hockey equipment, including a stick, CSA approved helmet with full cage, hockey gloves, shin guards, protective cup and appropriate footwear.  Elbow and knee pads are optional.

Goalies will need full ice hockey goalie equipment (not street hockey) including a CSA approved helmet and face shield.

How many players per team?

We aim to build teams with 16± players per team; 9± Forward, 6± Defense and minimum 1 Goalie per team.

How do I get All Stars merchandise (hoodies, bags, etc)?

You can speak with Coach George, Team Manager Lindsay or email ballhockey@allstars.ca and we can let you know which merchandise we currently have on hand. You can also take a look at what we have for style options on our Team Spirt Swag page.

What tournaments are coming up?

Competitive teams may have the opportunity to participate in Provincials and Western Challenge Cup. Provincials will be held in Edmonton on the July long weekend. Western Challenge Cup follows the Provincials tournament by ~2 weeks.

Everyone will be welcome to join the 3 vs. 3 Ice District tournament in mid-August, more details to follow as they are announced. As well as the 3 vs 3 Grinchmas tournament prior to Christmas.

Which arena’s do you use?

FALL/WINTER

Games are on Saturdays – held at the West Soccer Centre (17415 – 106A Avenue NW) and the South Soccer Centre (6520 Roper Road NW). Near the end of league play additional days could be added to fit all games in.

SPRING/SUMMER

Games could fall on any day of the week and will be held in the West Soccer Centre (17415 – 106A Avenue NW), the South Soccer Centre (6520 Roper Road NW) and East Soccer Centre (12720 Victoria Trail NW).

Where are practices held?

Practices will be held are various locations throughout Edmonton, including but not limited to the West and South Soccer Centres, with a possibility for Ardrossan arena as well. 

Other arenas could include George S. Hughes South Side Arena, and Crestwood Arena depending on availability.
