Welcome to our Bootcamp Program, designed specifically for young athletes between the ages of 11-18.

This 8-week program is designed to build comprehensive strength by targeting both major and minor muscle groups. The goal is to enhance athletic performance, particularly for running and hockey.

Each workout introduces new challenges and obstacles to keep participants engaged and progressing. Activities may include:

  • Tire flips (various sizes and weights)
  • Ladder drills for agility
  • Balance board exercises combined with stick handling

To ensure safety, all exercises will include age- and injury-appropriate modifications, especially when using weights.

At the end of the 8 weeks, participants will take on a 5km obstacle course featuring most, if not all, of the challenges practiced throughout the program.

BOOTCAMP PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Physical Fitness: This program pushes you past the ability to play a game or two a week. It has been designed for ball hockey players who want to get to the next level and be competitive within the league and tournament levels.

  • Proper warm-up drills to get the body moving and the blood flowing
  • Proper running form to get the most out of each movement
  • Running hills and stairs with and without weight
  • Tire flipping, battle ropes, medicine balls, weights, and tire pulls
  • Balance board coordination drills
  • Plyometrics for explosive power and acceleration
  • Agility drills for change of direction and speed
  • Core core and more core as it is the foundation of power, mobility, and balance!

Skill Development: Our experienced coaching staff is dedicated to honing fundamental ball hockey skills, including shooting, passing, stickhandling, and defensive tactics.

Team Building: Teamwork is a core component of our program. Players learn the importance of cooperation, communication, and supporting their teammates both on and off the rink. Lifelong friendships are often forged through these experiences.

Sportsmanship: We emphasize the values of sportsmanship and fair play. Our program instills respect for opponents, coaches, and officials, while teaching valuable life lessons about competition and character.

BOOTCAMP PROGRAM DETAILS

Age Group: U13-U18

Spring Season: March – May

Summer Season: July – August

Fall Season: September – October

Equipment: Participants will need basic equipment, including a mat, water bottle, appropriate footwear, and occasionally a stick and gloves. Information booklets and weekly sheets containing the full workout from that day will be provided. Other equipment may be requested from time to time.
